Dragon Eggs
Six eggs, six colors, one set of grandkids who are deep in their Rescue Riders era.
Tonight Morgan walked up holding these stunnin' eggs. Pale green, two creams, one deep chocolate-brown, one milk-chocolate, and a speckled rust-red one in the middle that looks like it was hand-painted by someone. "Dragon eggs," she says, and grins, because the kids are losing their minds over Rescue Riders lately and every green/red/blue egg in the coop has been promoted to dragon status thi

A Beautiful Day on the Farm
Today was one of those beautiful days that fills me with gratitude. ❤️ Tommy and I are working hard to build this farm and raise our kids here, and while the work is tough, it’s also so valuable, important, and tangible. I can’t imagine a better place to raise my babies. And of course, I’m grateful for the brimming milk pails—thanks to our dairy goats for their daily generosity. 🐐 #thechattygoat #dairygoats #goats #homesteadmama #mittenhomestead

Maltilda's Daughters
Pickle's growing beautifully Friendly ears and curious snoots keep photobombing every picture! It’s tough to get a clean shot when the does are this affectionate. I’ve especially loved watching Pickle grow—she’s Cuke’s full sister and already looks so much like her. Her depth is showing beautifully, and I feel so grateful for these two does (plus Petunia) carrying on Matilda’s legacy. #thechattygoat #dairygoats #goats #mittenhomestead #homesteaddairy
